Martha R. (Racobs) Baker

Martha R. (Racobs) Baker, 88 of Franklin died at 2:21 p.m. Wednesday April 1, 2009 at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.  Formerly she had lived in Elwood, Anderson and Tipton.  She was born in Tipton on September 2, 1920 to Warren D. and Nancy A. (McCray) Racobs.  She married Floyd J. Baker on September 16, 1976, and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2002.

Martha retired in 1981 from GMC Delco Remy Division in Anderson.  She belonged to the West Street Christian Church, was a member of the Eastern Star Swayzee Chapter 345 and a member of Local 662 UAW-Delco Division General Motors.

Martha is survived by three daughters, Barbara J. Castor and husband Rex of Noblesville, Ann Foster and husband Larry of Anderson and Pamela S. Richardson and husband Jim of Franklin; a stepson Michael Baker of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; one sister, Mary Jane Zaloudek, four grandsons, seven great grandchildren and two step-great grandsons.  She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.  No visitation is scheduled.
