Debby L. (Burket) Bowman

Debby L. (Burket) Bowman, 59, Kokomo, died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at her sister's residence after a 5-month illness. She was born August 1, 1950 in Elwood to Donald G. & Norma (Porter) Burket.

Debby retired from Delco Electronics in 1999.  She was a member of the Wildcat Guardians and had formerly attended the First Baptist Church in Tipton.

Debby is survived by her father, Donald Burket, Tipton; three brothers and one sister, Steve Burket and wife Marlene, Bradenton, Florida, Jane Galloway and husband Joe, Kokomo, Rex Burket and wife Rhonda, Kokomo, and Brian Burket and wife Laura, Walton; nieces and nephews Tyson Schoolman and wife Jodi, Kyle & Brett Galloway, Ashleigh, Tracey, Rex and Noah Burket, Matt Burket, Michael Burket and Ali Sears.  She is also survived by one great-niece, Karsyn Schoolman and one great-nephew, Cole Riley.  Debby was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Jeff Burket.

Her funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton with Rev. Mark Ward presiding.  Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
