Della Mae Buckley

Della Mae Buckley, 86, Sharpsville, died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006  at home.  She was born at home on May 20, 1920, in Tipton County.  She was the daughter of John Emerick and Lula Mirtle (Bogue) Fennell.  On August 21, 1937, she married George Edward Buckley.  He proceeded her in death September 4, 1967.

She attended Ross School, Tipton County.  She was a lifetime member of Windfall Church of the Brethren, was a Deaconess, taught Sunday school, was a member of the Ladies Aid and enjoyed quilting.   She enjoyed being a homemaker and retired from Delco Electronics in 1985 after 13 years of service.   

She is survived by one daughter and son-in law, Patricia Louise and Phillip Joe Buscher, Jeffersonville; three sons & daughters-in law, Terry Lee and Marjorie Ann Buckley, Robert Tim and Linda Lou Buckley, and Randy Ray and Linda Joan Buckley, all of Sharpsville; one brother, George Francis Fennell; one half brother, Larry Kenneth Fennell;  grandchildren Kathy & Richard Cloat, Phillip Jay &  Kristi Buscher, Charmaine & Bill Kinnett, Cynthia & George Butler, Christina Buscher, Troy & Kristi Buckley, Melanie & Steve Janke, Melinda Hobson, Robert & Kim Buckley, Aaron Buckley and Sarah Buckley, and foster grandchildren Mary & Doug Jackson and Connie & Raymond Otter.  Great grandchildren Derek Cloat, Melinda Buscher, Kristen, Kaitlyn, Douglass & Dalton Buckley, Anna & Ali Janke, Jacob Hobson, and step and foster great grandchildren Kyle Naugle, Cheri, Raymond Jr. (RJ), and Cari Otter, Justin and Amanda Edens, Jason Engleking, Regina Fields, Tommy & Joshua Montgomery, Billy Kinnett, J.R. and Chris Turner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sisters, Anna Ruth Jarvis, Vesta Bernice Gray, Betty Lorane Fennell, Laura Ellen Gray, grandson, Tracy Lee Buckley, and foster grandson, Larry Turner. Also, half brothers Levon Lee Fennell, Melvin Joe Fennell, Ronald Ray Fennell & John Fredrick Fennell, half sisters, Carol Ann Hight, Olga Roberta Thurston, Maralyn Jean, Mary Ella Hudson, and Freda Hohl.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24  at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, 216 West Jefferson St., Tipton with Rev. Arley Mitcham and Troy Buckley officiating.  Burial will be at Nevada Cemetery. Viewing is Monday, October 23, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.   Memorials may be made to Windfall Church of the Brethren, or the American Cancer Society.
