Phillip J. Cole

Phillip J. Cole, 76 of Indianapolis died at 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at his residence in Hamilton County.  He had formerly lived in Tipton, Elwood and Richmond.  He was born July 27, 1936 in Indianapolis to Hull Cole and Mary (Mendenhall) Cole Dawson.  He married Mary Lesson on March 20, 1965 and she survives. 

Phil was a real estate agent.  He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Indianapolis and Austin Masonic Lodge #128 in Tipton.

He is survived by his wife Mary; sons Scott Cole and wife Kim, Fishers Kevin Cole and wife Alison, Noblesville; five grandchildren, Raine, Evan, Tristan, Emily, and Alex Cole.  Phil was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather Paul C. Dawson.

Graveside services for Phil will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton.  A memorial service honoring Phil's life will then be conducted at 4:00 p.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46260 with Rev. Rob Fuquay presiding.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
