Margaret A. Gunkel

Margaret A. Hinkle-Gunkel, 75 of Atlanta died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at 8:55 am at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born in Tipton County on October 25, 1930 to Leroy and Lottie (Barr) Meyer.  Margaret married Harry Hinkle, he preceded her in death in 1970. She later married Donald L. Gunkel on May 7, 1988, and he survives.
          She was a homemaker and had worked at the Tipton Tribune.  She was a member of East Union Christian Church and was a co-founder of the Tipton County Pork Festival.
          Margaret is survived by her husband Donald, a daughter, Julie Hinkle Higgs of Utica, Kentucky and a son, Mark A. Hinkle of Newburg, Indiana, and 4 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 1 sister.
          A private graveside service will take place at Union Cemetery with Rev. Rex Dunning presiding.  Burial will follow.
