Pablo "Paul" Gutierrez, Sr.

Pablo "Paul" Gutierrez, Sr., 73, Tipton died at 1:44 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.  He was born June 7, 1937 in McAllen, Texas to Eligio Sr. & Aurora (Perez) Gutierrez.  On February 22, 1958 he married Margarita Chavez and she survives.

He was an electrical supervisor at D.A. Murray and a DJ at WBMP in Elwood.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Pablo loved music and operated P.A.K.A.R. Records.  He was a promoter for several Spanish dances and served as an MC at several wedding ceremonies.

Survivors besides his wife include eight children, Ruben Gutierrez, Aspen, Colorado, Esmerada "Susie" Hudson and husband Jim, Kokomo, Mary Dunbar and husband Bill, Tipton, Paul Gutierrez, Jr., Aspen, Colorado, Nick Gutierrez at home, Sandra Gutierrez, Tipton, Randy Gutierrez and wife Angie, Tipton, and Kent Scott Gutierrez and wife Rhonda, Sherman Oaks, California. 

Pablo also has five brothers and sisters, Fred & Maria Gutierrez, Aurora & Mike Razo and Rudy & Mary Gutierrez, all of McAllen, Texas, and Eligio Jr. & Emily Gutierrez and Mary Eliserio of Tipton; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Ramos and one brother Homer Gutierrez.

His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 11 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 340 Mill Street, Tipton, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with a Wake Service at 4:00 p.m. and a Rosary Service to follow.
