James K. Hudson

James K. Hudson, 83, Atlanta, died at 7:25 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2006, at Tipton Hospital.  He was born November 22, 1922, in Orlando, Florida, to Charles E. & Lulie C. (Kline) Hudson.

He worked for General Motors in Anderson and was a member of the Frankton American Legion.   James served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942-46 during WWII.

He is survived by nieces and nephews Dorothy Blount, Texas, Robert Shinkle, Georgia, Lester Shinkle, Atlanta, Steve Hudson, Elwood, and Keith Hudson, Indianapolis; special cousins Jerry & Esther Thomas, Three Oaks, Michigan; and his dog, Sir Sebastian. 

Two brothers and two sisters, Arawana W. Hudson, Chester L. Hudson, Pearl H. Shinkle, and Dale E. Hudson preceded him in death.

His funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Barnett presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
