Shannon G. Hurlock

Shannon G. Hurlock, 38, 6187 W.  100 N., Tipton, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2006 at her residence after a 7 1/2 - year illness.  She was born August 14, 1967 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to Robert & Sharon (Gaston) Galloway.  On May 27, 1989, she married Neil D. Hurlock and he survives.

She was a 1985 graduate of Tri-Central High School and received a degree in Physical Therapy form Indiana University in 1990.  Shannon was a past member of the Tipton County Extension Board and a member of Tipton County 4-H.  She enjoyed waterskiing and riding her dirt bike with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Neil; one daughter Stephanie Hurlock and one son Brandon Hurlock, both at home; mother and step-father Sharon & Don Whicker, Jr., Sharpsville; father and step-mother Robert & Brenda Galloway, Leesburg, Georgia; grandmothers Mary Smith, Kempton and Lula Galloway, Albany, Georgia; three sisters, Tammy Johnson, Tipton, Terri Hargrove, Kokomo, Donna Pharris, Greentown; and one brother, Kyle Galloway, Leesburg, Georgia.

Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, at Faith United Methodist Church, 1518 Faith Road, Kokomo, with Rev. Evan Strong presiding.  Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 Sunday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
