Thomas B. Johnston

Thomas B. Johnston, 49, Tipton died at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Tipton Hospital. He was born August 26, 1959 in Portland, Indiana to Robert and Aletha (Remaklus) Johnston and lived there until 1980. He married Martha Rose Beymer on November 3, 1979 and she survives.

Thomas was the owner of Johnston Heating and Air Conditioning and was a  member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Tipton Moose lodge.

Along with his wife he is survived by his mother Aletha Johnston, Portland; a son Ryan Thomas Johnston, Indianapolis;  two daughters,  Amy Lucille Moats and husband Aaron, Windfall and Amber Marie Stephens and husband Josh, Kokomo. Seven brothers Ron wife Jo, Carl, Gary wife Cecelia, Richard wife Patty, Dan, Mark , and Bob Johnston; three sisters Diana Link and husband Jack, Karen Wolford and husband Dale and Jane Johnston all of Portland, Indiana; two grandchildren Brooklyn Rose Moats and Haley Nicole Stephens, and unborn granddaughter Alexis Rose Stephens.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Johnston.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m.  Monday, June 29, at Young- Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
