Clifford E. King

Clifford Estel King, 69, Sharpsville, died at 3:20 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at his residence. He was born March 29, 1940 in Windfall to Othel & Minnie (Marcum) King.  On December 27, 1988 he married Mina Lou Reeder and she survives.

He retired from Delco Electronics in 1991 and then worked at the Tipton Golf Course.  Cliff was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Tipton Golf Association and U.A.W. 292.  He played on the Windfall Dragons basketball team from 1955-1958 and they were undefeated in 1957.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Survivors besides his wife Mina Lou include one son, Larry King and wife Karen, Sharpsville; two daughters, Diana Krogulecki and husband John, Martinsville and Gae Huff and husband Jeff, Sharpsville; one sister, Bonnie Carter, Kokomo, five grandchildren, Haley Esarey, Jacob King, Zachary Huff, Sarah Krogulecki and Rebecca Krogulecki;  and 2 great-grandchildren, Ona Esarey and Anre Esarey.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Guffey and Gene Guffey, one sister, Audrey, one brother-in-law, Tracy Carter, and one grandson, Kameron Huff.

Cliff's funeral will be at 12:00 noon Thursday, November 12, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 S. County Road 200 West, Kokomo, with Rev. David Hasser presiding.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall with military honors. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Thursday at the church. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
