Wanda M. Kritsch

Wanda M. Kritsch, 88, Tipton, died at 4:36 a.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Tipton on June 5, 1920 to Ray & Helen (Trimble) Woodruff.  She married William "Bill" Kritsch on July 19, 1973 and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1995. She retired from Pioneer Hybrids where she had worked in the mailroom.

Wanda was a member of Cicero Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Friends of the Library, and Tipton County Shares - from its inception to closing. She also belonged to the Concert Society, VFW Auxiliary, Moose and Lady Elks.

She is survived by five children, Vickie Turner of Tipton, Tom Turner and wife Joan of Windfall, Melvin Turner of Tipton, Jack Sharp of Muncie and Bobbette Grier of Yorktown; four grandchildren, Michael Barcus, Trent Jacobs, Jim Jacobs and Rebecca Sund.

Wanda was preceded in death by one sister, Waneta DeVault, and one brother, Robert "Woody" Woodruff.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Lueking presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
