James W. Leach

James W. "Jim" Leach, 50, Lapel, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in an industrial accident.  Jim was born in Frankfort on April 3, 1959 to Ronald L. and Donna (Gillam) Leach and had lived in Kempton until 1981. 

Jim worked at Farmer's Grain in Lapel, Indiana, and was a member of the Kempton Christian Church.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1981-1984.

He is survived by his parents, Donna and William Huffer, Kempton; brothers Tom Leach, Shepardsville, Ky and Bill Huffer, Kempton.  He was preceded in death by his father Ronald.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22 at the Kempton Christian Church with Revs. Larry Sims and Ron Whitacre presiding.  Burial will follow at the Kempton Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.
