James T. "Tom" Long

James T. "Tom" Long, 57, Windfall, died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel.  He was born September 10, 1951 in Indianapolis to Carlton & Willie Mae (Horton) Long and they survive in Windfall.

He worked for GM as a fork truck driver, retiring in 1996.  He was a member of the U.A.W. and a former member of the Windfall American Legion.  He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors besides his parents include one daughter, Tia Long, Windfall; one nephew he had raised, Todd Lunsford, Kokomo; three brothers, Robert and wife Becky Long, Sharpsville, Ronald and wife Jackie Long and David and wife Pam Long, both of Windfall; one granddaughter, Carley Long.

Tom's funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 18 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Rev. Dave Cornelius presiding.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall with military service at the graveside.  Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
