Devon J. Majors

Devon James Majors, 17 of Sharpsville died on Saturday, August 15, 2015 near Sharpsville as the result of an auto accident.  He was born on September 8, 1997 to Heather (Majors) Pearcy and James Pearcy of Bunker Hill.  He is also survived by two brothers  Jacob and Tanner Pearcy; grandparents, Melinda and Phil Kanable of Kokomo; Jeanne and Steve Majors of Tipton; great-grandmother, Connie Ferguson of Tipton and great-grandfather, Glenn Majors of Sharpsville, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Devon was known for his huge heart, his compassion and his willingness to jump in and help others in need.  Devon had a variety of interests; he loved to play basketball and video games and ride dirt bikes.   Most recently, he enjoyed being outdoors with his dog Kane.  He loved to build things and was very gifted. Even though Devon was only granted a few years, he had an impact on many lives and we are better for having had him in our midst.  He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19 at Young- Nichols Funeral Home, 216 West Jefferson in Tipton with the Rev. Brian Line officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Tipton.
