Geneva McCammon

Geneva (Miller) McCammon, 80, Sharpsville died at 7:56 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2006, in her residence following a brief illness.  She was born in Indianapolis on August 22, 1925 to Marble V. and Frona (Spencer) Miller.

Geneva married Delma “Mac” McCammon on January 8, 1955, and he survives.  She had lived in Indianapolis for 44 years being a housewife and had been employed in the food service industry at Warren Central High School and Naval Avionics.

Geneva was active in the United Methodist Church as a pianist and Sunday school teacher. She volunteered with the Girl Scouts and other community activities when possible and was a foster parent for three years.

Survivors include her husband “Mac” of Sharpsville and daughter Nancy and son-in-law Rick Mills also of Sharpsville, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Rev. Joyce Brooks presiding.  Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, at the funeral home.
