Emily Louise McIntosh

Emily Louise (Beasley) McIntosh, 86, Tipton, died at 2:08 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Tipton Hospital.  She was born November 3, 1920, in Dixie, Georgia to Terry Pasco & Clyde (Wilkes) Beasley.  On January 2, 1945, she married Charles E. McIntosh, Sr. and he survives.

She was a retired Home Economics and Family Living teacher and had taught in Moultrie, Georgia and Tipton High School.

Louise was a member of West Street Christian Church, Phi Beta Psi and past president of Phi Beta Psi. She was in FHA and was a Brownie and Cub Scout leader.  She also belonged to the Booster Club at Tipton High School and was active in several committees at the church.

Survivors include her husband Charles; two sons and one daughter, Charles R. McIntosh, Jr. , Indianapolis, Deborah Louise Bussey and her husband Henry I. Bussey, Lakehills, Texas, and Terry Samuel McIntosh and his wife Kathy McIntosh, Indianapolis; one sister, Alyce Hartsfield, Thomasville, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Hank Inman Bussey III, Kristin Louise Bussey-Smith, Elizabeth Marie Bussey Walker, Melanie Ruth McIntosh, Jeremy Richard McIntosh, Gregory McIntosh and Jeffrey Roy McIntosh; three great-grandchildren, Jackson Inman Smith, Madeleine Mae Smith and Alexandria D'Ann Bussey.   One brother, Harold Beasley, is deceased.

Her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Janice Burns-Watson presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
