Herbert F. Moeller

Herbert F. Moeller, 91, Tipton died at 10:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010 at his residence.  He was born December 29, 1918 in Farmers Retreat, Indiana to Herman Henry & Carrie (Linkmeyer) Moeller.  On January 20, 1946 he married Lucy Ploughe and she survives.

He was a contractor and co-owner with his father of Moeller & Sons and was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Tipton.  Herb served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Survivors besides his wife Lucy include two daughters, Kristy Moeller Ottinger, Greenville, Tennessee, and Cynthia Smith, Westfield, and five grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Herb's funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1385 S. Main Street, Tipton with Rev. Robb Roloff and Rev. Kurt Gremel presiding. Burial will be in Normanda Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be from 4:00-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.

Herb's family will also have visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the restored Old St. John's Lutheran Church, behind Emanuel Lutheran, a building which he was instrumental in moving and restoring.
