Chloe M. Nash

Chloe M. Nash, 94, formerly of Windfall, died at 4:00 a.m.  Monday, September 18, 2006 at Autumnwood Extended Care Facility.  She was born June 2, 1912 in Oakland City, Indiana, to Rudy & Laura (Shrock) Miller.  On July 3, 1931, she married Forrest "Eddie" Nash in Tipton and he survives.

She was a 1930 graduate of Windfall High School and also took the course "Principals of Accounting".  Chloe worked for her father in the Miller Baby Chick business for nine years, Regal Foods for 25 years, Windfall School Secretary for three years and Treasurer for Tri-Central Schools for eight years.

She was a member of Windfall Christian Church and was a teacher for pre-school children at the church for 21 years.  She loved children and enjoyed working with them. Chloe was an Honorary Alumnus of Johnson Bible College. She was a member for over 50 years of Chapter #10, Order of Eastern Star, Worthy Matron for one year from 1954-55, and also President of 10th District for two years.

Chloe is survived by her husband Eddie, nephews Dale Miller, Dixon, California, Rudy Miller, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Keith Miller, Florida,  Richard Lee Miller, Ventura, California, Ronald Miller, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and James Sowers, Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Her funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21 at Windfall Christian Church, 211 N. Independence Street, Windfall, with Rev. Carl Roudebush presiding.  Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall.  Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, and from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
