Jim Ploughe

Jim Ploughe, 71, Tipton died Wednesday morning September 1, 2010 at his farm.  He was born April 6, 1939 in Tipton to Maurice V. & Velma V. (Findling) Ploughe.  On December 6, 1959 he married Judy Lindley and she survives.

Jim was a life-long farmer.  He was a member of the Normanda Christian Church, Mid-America Threshing & Antique Show and had served in the National Guard.  He enjoyed woodworking and was a skilled craftsman with his tools.  Jim was a great husband, loving father, grandpa and uncle.

Survivors besides his wife Judy include two daughters, Jan Garrison and husband Tim, Tipton and Jill Rushton and husband Joe, Sheridan; one brother, Terry Ploughe and wife Loretta, Tipton; two sisters, Janie Dellinger and husband Jerry, Michigan and Donna Robinson and husband Terry, Tipton. Jim is also survived by six grandchildren, Tyler and Tiffany Garrison, Megan, Katie and Jessica Rushton and Alexis Plass.

His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Steve Brown and Rev. Rex Dunning presiding.  Burial will follow in Normanda Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
