Vicki L. (Baker) Privett

Vicki Louise (Baker) Privett, 55 of Arcadia, died early Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born October 9, 1957 in Bryan, Texas to William & Marilyn (Holt) Baker.  In November 1988 she married Bruce Privett and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2011.

Vicki was a partner in Day's Healthy Living Pharmacy, retiring in 2012.  She had previously worked at Hamilton Heart Cardiology, Indianapolis Medical Management, Indiana Psychiatric Consortium, Hamilton County Courts, Tipton Circuit Court and First Federal Savings and Loan in Tipton. 

She graduated from Indiana University - Kokomo in 1985 and then received her MBA from the University of Indianapolis in 1994.  Vicki was a member of the Noblesville Midday Rotary, Going-To-The-Sun Institute at the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana, and the Indiana Chapter National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Survivors include her parents of Atlanta; life partner Steve Day; two sisters, Judi Young and husband Mike, Indianapolis and Lori (Hooper) Thomas, Arcadia; one brother, Doug Baker and wife Christine, Brownsburg; step children Amy (Privett) Hinshaw and husband Keith, Lapel, Shaun Privett and wife Steffani, Atlanta, Jonathan Day and wife Patty, Carmel; step grandchildren Keegan and Kyle Hinshaw, Nora and Kinley Privett and Lily and Austin Day.

Vicki is also survived by her nieces and nephews who were so very special to her; Colton Hooper and wife Katie, Larissa, Olivia, Elijah, Mariah and Ike Hooper, Korey, Kayla and Karli DuBois, Kelli Johnson and husband Jordan, Kyle, Maura, Noah and Brynna Baker; two great-nieces.

A service celebrating Vicki's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4 at the Oasis Community Church, 600 Fairgrounds Road in Tipton with Pastor Kim Drake presiding.  Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.  Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
