Robert E. Quear

Robert E. Quear, 78, Bloomington, Minnesota, died Friday, August 31, 2007 in Edina, Minnesota.  He was born July 1, 1929 in Tipton to Harry S. & Elizabeth (Dunham) Quear.  On June 26, 1954 he married Iva Rose Morris and she survives. 

He was a 1948 graduate of Tipton High School and worked as an industrial engineer for 35 years until his retirement in 1999.  He was self-employed and provided commercial janitorial services.  Robert was a member of Wooddale Christian Church and was a Sunday school pre-school teacher for several years.  He enjoyed fishing with his sons and meeting people as a greeter at Sam’s Club. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952 and was stationed in Balboa, C.Z. 

Survivors besides his wife Iva Rose include one son, David A. Quear, Bloomington, Minnesota; one daughter, LeAnn Glass and husband Jerome, Bloomington,  Minnesota; two brothers, Edward O. Quear, Tipton and Harry C. Quear, Mooresburg, Tennessee; one sister, Betty F. Beopple, Willingboro, New Jersey; one grandson, Jerome Glass III.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Audley W. Quear, and one sister, Pearl A. Sullivan. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15 at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton with Rev. Eric Smith presiding and burial to follow.  Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 46 of Tipton.
