Agnes J. Ripberger

Agnes J. Ripberger, 96 of Tipton died at 4:50 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born August 26, 1919 in Tipton to Albert & Lillian (Peters) Gall.  On October 26, 1939 she married John E. Ripberger and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1985.

She attended school at St. John's and graduated from the St. Joseph Academy.  Agnes was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.  She was a member of the Sacred Heart Study Club, Plum Grove Home Ec Club, was an Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph and Friends of the Library.

Survivors include five sons, John A. Ripberger and wife Karen, Tipton, Edmond Ripberger and wife Linda, Tipton, Larry Ripberger and wife Nadine, Kokomo, Fred Ripberger and wife Kathy, Lexington and Louis Ripberger, Indianapolis; one brother, James Gall, Marion; five sisters, Sr. Dorothy Gall, Nazareth, Michigan, Charlotte Stroup, Elwood, Joan Varnau, Glendale, Arizona, Margaret Robinson, Richmond and Martha Hiatt, Madison.

Agnes is also survived by six grandchildren, John, Tim, Steve, Kerry, Doug and Denise; seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Rachel, Carly, Brandon, Haley, Cory and Zach and three great-great-grandchildren, Saphira, Donovan and Ryker.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Rosemary Mason and two brothers, Robert Gall and Philip Gall.

A Funeral Mass for Agnes will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Dennis Goth presiding.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with a wake service and rosary at 7:00 p.m.
