Nancy Jane Ripberger

Nancy Jane Ripberger, 59 of Tipton died at 12:47 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born October 15, 1948 in Tipton to George Lindsay & Roxie E. (Goodnight) Rubush.  On June 20, 1970 she married Phil Ripberger and he survives.

She worked on the staff at Northern Community Schools. Nancy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society; a leader of the Hustling Hoosiers 4-H club, and coached in the Tipton Youth Softball League.

Survivors besides her husband Phil include five children, Todd Ripberger, Windfall, Scott Ripberger and wife Dianne and their children Paige and Justin, Plano, Texas, Chad Ripberger and wife Kristen and their children Adeline and Liam, Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Nikki Foerg and husband Darrell and their children Payton, Roxie, Dakota and Brogan, Tipton, and Toby Ripberger and fiancée Allison Good, Tipton. 

Nancy is also survived by two brothers, Richard Rubush and Bill Rubush, both of Tipton.  She was preceded in death by one grandson, Dalton Foerg.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 340 Mill Street, Tipton, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 pm. Friday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with a Wake service at 7:00 p.m.
