Marjorie Ann Sloan

Marjorie Ann Sloan, 77, Salt Lake City, Utah, and a former Tipton resident, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in Salt Lake City due to complications following a spirited effort in stroke recovery and rehabilitation. Marjorie was born on January 17, 1930 in Tipton County, Indiana, daughter of George and Winona Henry.  Marjorie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  On June 22, 1952 she married Marvin R. Sloan in Tipton, Indiana.  Preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, Marjorie has now joined with her beloved. 

Marjorie is survived by her children Mark Sloan, Oxford, MI (Maria) and Marlene Sloan, Park City, UT (Russ Crump).  The lights of her life were her grandchildren Bielle Crump-Albrecht, Sonya Vittiglio, Justin Crump and Nickolas Sloan and her great-grandchildren, Taylor Crump and Antonio Vittiglio.  She is survived by her sisters, Virginia McGinnis, Nancy Sottong, and Linda Sottong of Indiana. 

Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1385 S. St. Rd. 19, Tipton, with Pastor Kurt Gremel presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Family and friends may call from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
