Richard Lee Snyder

Richard Lee Snyder, 75, Kokomo, died at 11:25 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2007 at his residence.  He was born September 28, 1931 in Lincoln, Indiana to Roscoe & Janice (Crockett) Snyder.  On February 10, 1954 in Tipton he married Helen Marie Robinson and she survives.

He worked in steel trades at Continental Steel in Kokomo. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant 1st Class. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 57 of Noblesville.

Survivors besides his wife Helen include two sons and two daughters, Joe Snyder and his wife Ella, Burlington, Janice Cooke and her husband Robin, Arcadia, Jean Snyder, and her husband Dave Ashbaugh Argyle, Texas, and Rich Snyder and his wife Sheri, North Carolina; one brother, Jim Snyder, Kokomo; eight grandchildren, LaKisha Snyder, Brandon Snyder, Jeramie Cooke, Ashley Cooke, Hannah Ashbaugh, Christa Ashbaugh, Richard Snyder and Tony Snyder.  One sister, Jo Cain, is deceased.

His funeral will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding.  Visitation will be from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 3:00 p.m.
