Marcus Stacy

Marcus Stacy, 75 of Tipton died at 3:10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor.  He was born June 20, 1939 in Decoy, Kentucky to Kelly & Ida (Shepherd) Stacy.  In April 1976 he married Janet Johnson and she survives.

He had worked in accounting at FMC in Tipton.  Marcus was a graduate of Wendell Wilkie High School in Elwood and had attended Yale and Indiana University - Kokomo.  He enjoyed following politics and working on his computer.  Marcus had served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors besides his wife Janet include three children, Carol (Stacy) Mund, Carmel, Valerie (Pederson) Hill and husband Dan, Middletown, Ohio and Dan Pederson and wife Marka, Pendleton; one sister, Ellarie Hughes and husband Larry, Elwood; one brother, Shawn Stacy, Elwood.  He is also survived by five grandchildren, Skyler Wesimiller, Dayne Hill, Elizabeth Hill, Garrett Pederson and Harper Pederson; two great-grandchildren, Isaac Weismiller and Jarron Weismiller.

Marcus was preceded in death by one son, John David Stacy and one brother, Gordon Hall.

A memorial service for Marcus will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Meyer presiding.  Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
