Douglas Alan Stroup

Douglas Alan Stroup, 50, Tipton, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo.  He was born April 9, 1956 in Tipton to James W. & Muriel D. (Grimme) Stroup.  On March 8, 1975 he married Kymberly McCauley and she survives.

He was an operations manager at Delphi Electronics in Kokomo and had worked there for 30 years.  He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, a 1974 graduate of Tri-Central High School and a 1979 graduate of General Motors Institute.

Doug is survived by his wife Kym; his father, James Stroup, Kempton; two daughters and two sons, Erin Lawrence and her husband Chad, Warsaw, Indiana, Mathew Stroup at home, PFC Andrew Stroup, serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq, and Taylor Stroup at home; two brothers and one sister, James R. Stroup, Kokomo, Gary Stroup and his wife Louann, Sharpsville, and Cathy Zahn and husband Robert, Sharpsville.

His funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 4 at the Liberty Baptist Church, 3530 N. 1000 W., Tipton, with Revs. Ruth & Bob Lawson presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, and from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday at the church.
