Rickey E. Taylor

Rickey E. Taylor, 46, of Tipton, formerly of Greentown died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at his residence.  He was born in Tipton on August 6, 1960 to Herbert D. and Jean (Kennedy) Taylor. 

Rick was a Corrections Officer at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department and formerly was an Emergency Medical Technician for Young-Nichols Ambulance Service as well as Eastern Howard County Ambulance Service.  He graduated in 1978 from Eastern High School.  Rick was a former member of the Tipton County Civil Defense and the Wildcat Township Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a member at West Street Christian Church where he had taught Sunday School.  Rick enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He is survived by three sons, Bradley D. Taylor, U.S. Army, San Antonio, Texas, Bryan N. Taylor, Kokomo, and Kaleb D. Taylor, Elwood.  Siblings include Al Taylor and wife Cathy, Greentown, Lisa Wise and husband Jason, Greentown, Glen Taylor, Greentown, and Darwin Taylor and wife Stephanie, Kokomo.  Several  nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday March 15, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton.  Evangelist Kendall Faull will preside.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery, Greentown.  Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 at the funeral home.
