Herman "Bob" Timm

Herman "Bob" Timm, 87, Tipton died at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Tipton Hospital. He was born January 21, 1921 in Hammond, Indiana, to Herman Carl & Gertrude (Vater) Timm.  On October 30, 1943 he married Phyllis Hartley and she died December 17, 2000.

Bob graduated from Hanover College, and was an accountant at Delco Radio in Kokomo, retiring in 1980.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.  He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He is survived by three sons, Robert Scott Timm and fiancée Carol Ryan, Indianapolis, Gary Edwin Timm and wife Signe, Long Beach, California, and Richard Hartley Timm and wife Diane, Tipton; one brother, Edwin M. Timm, Southfield, Michigan; one step-grandson Jeffrey Kemp and his wife Hannah, two step-great grandchildren, Saidee and Elijah Timm-Kemp;

His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Linda Philabaun presiding.   Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
