Lynda P. Trimble

Lynda P. Trimble, 72 of Tipton died at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor.  She was born in rural Tipton County on May 21, 1942 to Ray & Anita (Rode) Calvin.  On June 26, 1960 she married Gary Trimble and he survives.

Lynda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tipton, Plum Grove Extension Homemakers Club, Gideons Auxiliary, and Tipton County Historical Society.  She was a graduate of Tipton High School, class of 1960.

Lynda is survived by her husband, Gary; a son, Timothy Trimble and wife Dana, Morton's Gap, Kentucky; three daughters, Rebecca Ricketts and husband Larry, Russiaville, Catherine Ayres and husband Kip, Bringhurst, Nancy Allen and husband Terry, Kokomo; two brothers, Robert Calvin and wife Anna Marie, Atlanta, Richard Calvin and wife Carol, New London, Iowa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil Trimble and wife Betty, Frankfort, Joyce Hoover and husband Jerry, Hampton, Virginia, Imogene Ingle and husband Dan, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, seven grandchildren, Jescia Trimble. Emily Trimble, Michelle Shepherd and husband Bill, Jennifer Howell and husband Caleb, Bryce Ayres and wife Calee, Megan Tuttle and husband Woody, Brittney Allen; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Shepherd, Alexander Shepherd, Bennett Ayres, and Sawyer Ayres.  She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Trimble and a brother-in-law, Nate Trimble.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton with Pastor Mark Ward presiding.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery Windfall.  Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
