Stephen Wayne Wade

Stephen Wayne Wade, 39, Bloomington and a former Tipton resident died at 11:16 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in Bloomington from injuries sustained in an auto accident.  He was born in Tipton March 16, 1970 to Wayne & Jeanine (This) Wade and lived here until 1988.

Stephen was a former owner of the Peach Garden Chinese restaurant in Bloomington and continued to work there.  He was a member of the West Street Christian Church, a 1988 graduate of Tipton High School where he played tennis, and earned a BS in Optometry from Indiana University.

He loved playing the guitar, rock music and golfing.  He was a great uncle to his nephew Joseph. His dogs, Bella and Jack, were like children to Stephen.

He is survived by his mother, Jeanine Wade, Tipton; one sister, Melinda Berry and husband Joseph Berry II, and one nephew, Joseph Berry III, all of Chicago.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, April 13 at the West Street Christian Church, 132 N. West Street, Tipton, with the Rev. Linda McKiernan-Allen presiding.  Burial will be in University Church Memorial Garden in Chicago at a later date.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Monday at the church.
