Pauline W. Wheeler

Pauline W. Wheeler, 95, Tipton, died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at her residence after a brief illness.  She was born on April 30, 1913 in Lyndonville, Vermont, the daughter of Fred & Luthera (Carleton) Wilcox.  She graduated from West Lebanon High School and Bay Path Institute, Springfield, Massachusetts.  Pauline was a resident of West Lebanon, New Hampshire since November 1913 until moving to Tipton in 2007.

She married William R. Chase in 1934.  Mr. Chase died in 1942.  She married Scott F. Chamberlin in 1949.  Mr. Chamberlin died in 1962.  She married Sidney P. Wheeler in 1966.  Mr. Wheeler died in 2007.

Mrs. Wheeler worked for Selective Service in Lebanon, Vermont from 1942 to 1946.  She worked at the Veterans Administration in White River Junction, Vermont from 1946 to 1978 when she retired.  She was member of the Vigilant Circle of the Kings Daughters & Sons, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a member of the Lebanon Chapter.

She leaves one daughter, Elizabeth A. Naden, Tipton, four grandsons, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.  Mrs. Wheeler was predeceased by three brothers, Carleton, Luther and Harlan Wilcox, and one sister, Luthera Guptill.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 at the C.W. Mount Community Center, 341 West Jefferson Street, Tipton.  Burial will take place in the West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon, New Hampshire.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
