Jack L. White

Jack L. White, 65,  Tipton died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Windsor Estates in Kokomo.  Jack was born on August 12, 1942 in Kokomo to Willard M. and Betty Joan (Morrow) White Stoops.

He retired from the Navy as a Master Chief Petty Officer E-9 after serving 20 years, including 7 tours during the Viet Nam Conflict.  He was a 1960 graduate of Kokomo High School, a member of the Tipton Elks Lodge #1012, the American Legion, and the Indiana Bar Owners Association.

Survivors include two children, Dawn L. (White) Fuller of Brownsburg,  and Shawn M. White of Minneapolis, MN, his mother, Betty Stoops, Tipton, a brother, Bill White, Tipton and a sister, Sherry L. (White) Richardson of Brandon, FL, and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton where an Elks memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m.  A private graveside service will be held later at the Veteran’s National Cemetery in Marion with military rites being performed.
