Nancy Jo Whitesell

Nancy Jo (Coe) Whitesell, 58, Tipton, died at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009 at her residence.  She was born August 21, 1950 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Vernon & Dolores (Livengood) Coe.  She married Larry F. Whitesell on November 29, 1969 in Big Rapids, Michigan and he survives.

Nancy had a passion for music and was involved with singing, playing the piano,  keyboard and organ.  She was a member of the Harbour Shores Church in Cicero. She made several of the original costumes used by the Harbour Shores Church in the Hamilton County Passion play, "Behold the Lamb", many of which are still being used after almost 20 years.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend.

Survivors besides her husband include her parents of Rodney, Michigan; her grandmother, Josephine Livengood of Bridgman, Michigan; two daughters, Jennifer Harris and husband Steve of Noblesville and Maureen Ramsey and husband Chad of Lafayette; one son, Warren Whitesell and wife Karen of Russellville;  10 wonderful grandchildren, Meagan, Melanie and Evan Harris, Alieasha, Ashley, Andrea, Austin and Alexandrea Whitesell, Callie and Lauren Ramsey.

Nancy is also survived by one brother, Forrest Coe and wife Marilyn of Fox River, Illinois; one sister, Carrie Zandi and husband Dennis of Lakemoor, Illinois; aunties Genevieve Wymer of Hubert, North Carolina and Lorraine Livengood of Bridgman, Michigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29 at Harbour Shores Church, 8011 East 216th Street, Cicero, with Pastor Don Jennings presiding.  Visitation will  be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Fayette Township in Vigo County, Indiana.
