Juanita J. Zaloudek

Juanita J. Zaloudek, 87, Tipton, died at 10:25 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2008 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born December 31, 1920 in Tipton to Lester & Beatrice (Armstrong) Emehiser.  On May 17, 1946 she married Kenneth N. Zaloudek and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2005.

She worked in the stenographic and clerical field and was also an abstractor.  She had also served as the Deputy Treasurer and Deputy Clerk for Tipton County.

Juanita was a member of the West Street Christian Church, Associate member of Haines City Christian Church in Florida, American Legion - Charles Sturdevant Post #46, 50-year member of Rosary Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Tipton County Historical Society.  She had been a Cub Scout Den Mother, Girl Scout Brownie leader, Girl Scout leader, Day Camp Chairman and District Chariman.

Juanita served in the U.S. Navy Women's Reserve during WWII.

She is survived by two daughters and one son, Pamela J. Cook and husband Dennis, Tipton, Jeffrey C. Zaloudek and wife Lorna, Lindenhurst, Illinois, and Aleta K. Zaloudek, Russellville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Kathy Dell and husband Brian, Karen Bocock and husband Dean, Linda Cook, Derek Zaloudek and wife Valerie and Evan Zalouodek; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Dell, Jamey Dell, Cliff Bocock and Nicholas Sottong.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Kurt Gremel presiding.  Burial will be in the VA National Cemetery in Marion.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
