Bev Kennedy, 75 of Tipton died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at IU Health Tipton Hospital. She was born September 12, 1937 in Tipton to Lawrence & Melba (Ogden) Borden. On May 25, 1958 she married Frank Mitchell and he preceded her in death on September 18, 1967. She married Lowell Kennedy on November 28, 1968 and he also preceded her in death on October 16, 2001.

Bev worked at Allied Solutions in Carmel, retiring in 2009. She was a graduate of Tipton High School Class of 1956 and a member of the West Street Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching Colts football.

Bev is survived by one daughter, Julie Wesner, Tipton; one son Jeff (Kathy) Mitchell, Tipton; one brother, Fred Borden, Anderson and two sisters, Esther (Mike) Harrison, Arcadia and Lin (Mike) Goodman, Tipton; three grandchildren, Mandy Mitchell, Josh (Carrie) Wesner and Andy (Andrea) Wesner. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Mackenzie & Macey Inman, Paige Wesner, Ethan Sizelove and Abigail Wesner and a special family friend, Tooter.

Bev's funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14 at the West Street Christian Church with Rev. Linda McKiernan-Allen presiding and burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and from 10:30 – 11:30 Wednesday at the church.
