Cathy Gibbs
Cathy Gibbs 62, of Noblesville and formerly of Tipton died at 7:10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North. She was born on September 28, 1956 in Tipton to O.S. Gibbs & Hester (Jones) Gibbs.
Cathy grew up in Kempton and was a home health aide. She formerly worked at Tipton County Memorial Hospital as a nurse’s aide and at General Cage in Elwood. Cathy graduated from Tipton High School Class of 1974. She was a past member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She really enjoyed helping elderly people. Cathy also liked watching sporting events like NASCAR and IU Basketball. She loved her dogs, Macy and Molly.
She is survived by a son, Spenser Gibbs and special friend Amanda Wood, Noblesville; six siblings, Fran Dorsan, Frankfort, Fred Gibbs and wife Marcia, Largo, Florida, Eugene Gibbs and wife Betty, Sun City Center, Florida, Jerry Gibbs and wife Beverly, Punta Gorda, Florida, Donnie Gibbs, Tipton, David Gibbs and wife Jean Ann, Tipton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Molden.
Cathy’s funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Diane Robinson presiding. Visitation will be on Tuesday also, from 4:00 p.m. until time of the service.
The family is requesting donations to be made to Young-Nichols Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses or online at Fund the Funeral.
