Darlene F. Perrin, 52 of Elwood and formerly of Tipton, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.  Darlene was born on May 18, 1964 in Tipton to Lewis G. & Iva Mae (Moss) Perrin.

She had worked in nursing at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville and Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton.  She enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing pool.

Darlene is survived by one son, Jake Maine; her fiancé Doyle G. Anderson, Elwood and one step-son, Mike Anderson.  She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Wanda Crews, Tipton, Darrell W. Perrin and wife Brenda, Cicero, Geraldine Henderson, Tipton, David Perrin, Seymour, Indiana, Dennis Perrin and wife Ellen, Connecticut, Douglas Perrin, Richmond, Dumas Perrin, Anderson, Daniel Perrin, Indianapolis and Scott Perrin, Anderson; one grandson, Harley.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Josh Maine and one brother, Roger Dale Perrin.

Funeral services for Darlene will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with John Ankrom presiding.  Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until time of the service on Friday.

  1. I am sorry for your loss , I lived upstairs of slim’s cafeteria when josh was a baby and remember darlene as a good mother and great sister to doug and dumas again please accept my condolances and prayers for all sincerely mark a baker

    Darlene and I went to the same school, but she was a year ahead of me. This is so hard to believe, because I just saw here not all that long ago, in town. I was devastated to read of her passing. She will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are going out to all of you.
