Delmas J. "Jo" Orr

Delmas J. "Jo" OrrDelmas J. "Jo" Orr, 95 of Tipton died at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at IU Health Tipton Hospital surrounded by loved ones.  She was born March 17, 1920 in Arcadia to Robert & Catherine (Reynolds) Dinkins.  On June 23, 1938 she married William P. Orr and he preceded her in death on February 3, 1985.Jo had worked at Delco.  She attended Trinity Wesleyan Church and enjoyed quilting, baking, square dancing and working puzzles.  She was a seamstress and loved tending to her flowers and gardening.  She loved her dog Lucy.She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jones, Elwood; four grandchildren, Dawn Cox, Terry Miller, Scott Jones and Brian Jones; 13 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.  Jo was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosie Yeary; two sons-in-law, Lefty Yeary and Sam Jones; a granddaughter, Jenni (Jones) Lamont; and a granddaughter-in-law, Brenda Jones.Private family services will be held with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton.
