Dorothy Bultemeier, 98 of Tipton died at 2:25 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor. She was born on December 30, 1917 in Tipton to Alfred & Arabella (Angstadt) Weismiller. In 1942 she married Erhard Bultemeier who preceded her in death in 1979.

Dorothy moved to Ft. Wayne to pursue her education at Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She married Erhard shortly after her graduation from nursing school and made Ft. Wayne her permanent home until 1985. She returned to Tipton after she retired. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Tipton.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Joyce Roesler and husband Francis, Severna Park, Maryland, a daughter-in-law, Diane Bultemeier of San Diego, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Bultemeier, a daughter, Ruth Frerking; a brother, Ernest Weismiller and a sister, Edna Weismiller.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tipton with Rev. Robb Roloff presiding. Visitation will also be at the church Thursday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens will be at a later date.
