Faye Stevens, 76 of Tipton died at her residence at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on December 22, 1941 to Lloyd & Kitty (Fletcher) Brooks.  On July 5, 1991 she married Harold Stevens and he survives.

She owned Faye’s Northside Cafe where she served southern style home cooking to locals and visitors alike for more than 34 years. In that time Faye served 1.5 million customers, 1.3 million cups of coffee, and more than 300,000 slices of her beloved pies, which if stacked end-to-end would stretch to the top of Mount Everest and back, two times.

She is survived by her husband Harold; three children, Theresa Louthen and husband Willie, Tipton, Clyde Ogden and wife Sally, Roswell, Georgia, Michael Ogden and wife Tiffani, Bloomington, Indiana; four step children, Jenny Kronenberg and husband Tim, Noblesville, Indiana, Dee Shepherd and husband Brian, Aurora, Colorado, Randy Stevens, Arcadia, and Elana Stevens, Cicero; a sister, Mae Ogden and husband George Ogden Jr., Tipton; eight grandchildren, Laitham Louthen and wife Jaymie, Colby Louthen, Alana Ogden, Megan Ogden, Marshall Ogden, Alex Ogden, Drew Ogden and Ross Ogden.She was preceded in death by a brother, Obie Brooks and sister-in-law, Pansy Brooks.

Faye’s funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Logan Westrick presiding. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton.  Visitation will also be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations in Faye’s memory may be made to either the Boys & Girls Club of Tipton County, 341 W. Jefferson Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072 or the Jubilee Christmas Fund at the Tipton County Foundation, P.O. Box 412, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
