Forrest "Eddie" NashForrest "Eddie" Nash, 101, Tipton, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.  He was born March 28, 1910 in Tipton County to Lawrence & Jennie (Leavel) Nash.  On July 3, 1931 he married Chloe Miller and she died on September 18, 2006He was a 1929 graduate of Windfall High School and obtained a degree from Repperts School of Auctioneering.  He worked as an Auctioneer and Real Estate Broker for 40 years.Eddie was an Elder Emeritus of Windfall Christian Church and also served as Bible School Superintendant and youth director for several years.  He was an Honorary Alumni of Johnson Bible College.  Eddie also served on the Rainbow Christian Camp Board of Directors.Eddie enjoyed race horses.  He and Carl Scudder acquired "Cotton Prince", a colt from the Cotton Plantation that became the Indiana Horse of the Year in 1957.  Later, Ralph Colbert and Eddie owned "Miss Windfall", the daughter of "Cotton Prince" who earned a place in the Standard Bred Hall of Fame in 1994.He served as a medic in the U.S. Army at Headquarters Squadron X11 Tactical Air Command in the World War II European Theater.  He was a 50-year member of Scottish Rite NM5 Valley of Indianapolis, 50-year member of Windfall Masonic Lodge No. 334 F&AM and a 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star and was a past Worthy Patron. Eddie helped to organize Cub Scouting in Windfall and was a past president of the Windfall Lions Club.He is survived by several nephews and nieces.  Eddie had five brothers and one sister who all preceded him in death.The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon Friday, January 27 at Windfall Christian Church with Rev. Carl Roudebush presiding.  Burial with military rites will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon Friday at the church.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Windfall Christian Church 211 N. Independence Street, Windfall, Indiana  46076, or to Johnson Bible College 7900 Johnson Drive Knoxville, Tennessee 37998.
