Imogene Maxine Crail, 91 of Knightstown died at 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.  She was born January 28, 1926 in Young America, Indiana to Joseph W. & Nancy L. (Hawn) Crume.  She married Donald Eugene Crail on November 15, 1943 and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1994.

Imogene was a homemaker.  She enjoyed her family and sewing and doing crafts.  She is survived by four children, Sandy Brickles and husband Paul, Spiceland, Donald Crail, Jr., Pflugerville, Texas, Jeannie McMullen and husband Charlie, San Diego, California and Clark Crail, Indianapolis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Jones and one son, Roger Crail; four sisters, Kate, Gertrude, Margaret and Nancy and two brothers, Joseph and Jim Crume.

Funeral services for Imogene will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. Saturday.

  4. Even though it was too hard for me to send out thank-you cards
    I think you all now for being there on that grieving day
    But don’t worry for she has shown that August 2nd is the date she was reborn in heaven and now that’s her new birthday for there is always white puffy clouds her favorite around her house that day every year to celebrate!
