Jean Ann Day, 92 of Tipton, and a former Fort Wayne resident for 52 years, died at 8:48 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born on May 6, 1924 in Curtisville to John & Dessie Olive (Trimble) Alley.  Jean married Norman F. Day on August 29, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2009.

She was a Data Processor at Essix Wire for ten years.  Jean was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and a 1942 graduate of Windfall High School.

She is survived by a brother, Charles “Pete” Alley, Curtisville; a sister, Martha Jane Coulter, Plainfield; and several nieces and nephews.  Jean was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Thomas Alley.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12 at Brookside Cemetery, Windfall with Pastor Kevin Carr presiding. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
