Jo Ellen HuffordJo Ellen Hufford, 85 of Tipton died at 8:53 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at IU Health Tipton Hospital.  She was born April 8, 1926 in Ekin to Herman G. & Martha Esther (Thompson) Lewis.  On November 3, 1944 she married Ross Merritt Hufford, Sr. and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1998.She retired from Delco Electronics in 1981.  Jo Ellen was a member of East Union Christian Church, Moose, American Legion and Order of the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing games and puzzles.  Jo Ellen also liked shopping and eating out.She is survived by four children, Ross M. (Peggy) Hufford, Jr., Melody Hufford, Robert J. Hufford, and Susan (Danny) Davis, all of Tipton; grandchildren Ross M. (Shannon) Hufford III, Joseph M. (Kim) Hufford, Whitney M. (Nick) Huff, Austin M. Hufford, Sarah K. Davis, Daniel J. (Kara Smith) Davis and David (Liz) Hewitt; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Eileen Watson.Jo Ellen's funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Dunning presiding.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.  Visitation will be from noon - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.Memorial contributions may be made to the East Union Christian Church, 1711 East 296th Street, Atlanta, Indiana, 46031.
