Lewis Walker
Lewis Walker, 86 of Tipton died at 11:52 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born on February 11, 1931 in Celina, Tennessee to Clure Van & Molly Bell (Reecer) Walker. He had lived in Celina for 19 years and Arcadia for four years before moving to Tipton. Lewis married Dora Lee Brown on April 16, 1949 and she survives.
Lewis had worked at Steel Parts in Tipton and was a farmer. He was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed racing, farming and being with his friends and family.
Lewis’ only child, Donna Jean Wright, preceded him in death this past July. His survivors include his wife Dora; one son-in-law Carl Wright of Tipton; three grandsons, Tim Wright, Chris Wright and Zachary Wright; great-grandchildren Bethany Wright-Sparling, Cody Wright, Cameron Wright, Kendra Wright, Wesley Fruth, Zoe Wright and Addyleigh Fruth.
Lewis is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, Lovie Williams, Cookeville, Tennessee, Marie Scott, Tipton, Robert Walker and wife Edith, Muncie, Donald Walker and wife Donna, Arcadia. Besides his daughter Donna he was preceded in death by his siblings George Walker, Jewell Harper, Sylvia McClerran and Belvia Brown.
Graveside services for Lewis will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Carl Wright presiding and burial to follow. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
so sorry to hear this, made me remember your sweet Mama, I took care of her several times at good ole TCMH.
