Marcy A. Peters, 51 of Tipton died at 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Riverview Health in Noblesville.  She was born on September 7, 1965 in Tipton to Martin P. & Mary E. (Duffitt) Scott.  She married Freddie L. Peters on October 15, 2005 and he survives.

Marcy had worked as a day care provider and was a 1st Grade reading specialist at Tipton Elementary School.  She attended Trinity Wesleyan Church in Tipton.  She graduated from Tipton High School in 1984 and Ball State University in 1990.  Marcy was a 3-year member of the Tipton Park Board.

Survivors with her husband Freddie include her mother Mary of Tipton; five children, Matthew Cavanah, Tipton, Nathaniel Cavanah, Tipton, Keegan Kilfoil Barnes, Richmond, Randy James, Jr., Tipton and Brittany Purvis, Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Marcy is also survived by five brothers, Allen Scott, David Scott, Dennis Scott, Alex Scott and Michael Scott and his wife Valerie and their daughters, Brianna, Cierra and Kierra; one grandson, Bryson Honstein, and a “sister” Sharon Linerode of Tipton.

Marcy was preceded in death by her father, Martin.

Marcy’s funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Tipton with Pastor Johnnie Blair presiding.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 30 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., all at Trinity Wesleyan Church.

Memorial donations may be made to The Megan S. Ott Foundation in support of Breast Cancer at P.O. Box 1372, Noblesville, Indiana, 46061, or a College Fund for her son Nate, C/O Encompass Credit Union, 201 N. Main Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
