Mary F. Meeks

Mary F. MeeksMary F. Meeks, 85, Tipton, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born June 13, 1926 in Hamilton County, Indiana to Harry and Flossie (Lower) Achenbach.  On September 23, 1945 she married Victor F. Meeks and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2001.She was a Bookkeeper for Oakes Manufacturing and Margaret Harper, PPA, retiring in 1988.  Mary was a member of Mid-America Threshing and affiliated with Kemp United Methodist Church.   She graduated from Walnut Grove High School.Mary is survived by two daughters, Sandra Kaye (Phil) Adams, Tipton and Jo Dee (John) Spratt, Watkinsville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Dee Fratus (O'Brien) Bassett, Indianapolis, Sheila Fratus (Greg) Wyant, Sheridan, Corrine (Jim) Corley, Athens, Georgia; six great-grand children, Sam Wyant, Abby Wyant, Gavin Bassett, Alan Corley, William Corley, Owen Corley.  She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Justin Wyant, two sisters, and one brother.Her funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Collier presiding.  Burial will be in Arcadia Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
