Max E. Tilley

Max E. TilleyMax E. Tilley, 68 of Tipton died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. He was born February 14, 1943 in Kokomo to Raymond and Irene Faye (Gallaher) Tilley.  On November12, 1961 he married Marcia K. Overly and she survives.Max worked at the Chrysler Corporation for 35 years, retiring as a supervisor  in 2001.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 46 and served in the Air Force during Vietnam.Survivors include his wife, Marcia; three sons, Jeff Tilley and wife Linda, Danville, Indiana, Rick Tilley and wife Lori, Tipton, Trent Tilley, Arcadia; six grandchildren, Ashley Blake, Jessica Tilley, Kyle Tilley, Konner Tilley, Ty Tilley, Summer Tilley; five great-grandchildren, Anthonie Blake, Joey Blake, Gracie Blake, Sophie Blake, Carson Blake; three sisters, Laura Hoff, Kathleen Beyers, and Naomi Wheeler.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Miller and a brother, Bert Tilley.His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Slack presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with military rites.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2723 South Albright Road, Kokomo, Indiana, 46902.
