Mitch Elliott, 56 of Anderson and formerly of Tipton died Sunday, August 7, 2016 in Indianapolis. He was born in Cahokia, Illinois on December 8, 1959 to Joseph and Shirley (DeNoon) Elliott Weismiller.

Mitch was a dump truck driver for Pendleton Trucking. He had attended Heartland Church in Sharpsville and Lakeview Church in Indianapolis. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army in Erlanger, Germany. Mitch was a Six Sigma Black Belt, and he was involved in the Man 4 Man mentoring program. He had a love for Harley motorcycles and belonged to ABATE for many years. He was a 1978 graduate of Tipton High School and received a degree in Christian Education at Grace College.

Survivors include his daughter, Jodi Huffman Tarkovich and husband Kevin of Cornielus, North Carolina; siblings Bridget Perkins and husband Dennis of Windfall, Billy Weismiller and his fianceé Amy Coar of Tipton, Jr. Weismiller and wife Heather of Tipton. Grandchildren include Staff Sergeant Daniel Roe, Alex Roe and John Roe and nieces and nephews Korine, Kaela and Levi Abernathy, Lindsey Swank, Keli Lamberg, Cash Lamberg and wife Adrian, Konner Kakasuleff, and Jackson and Shelby Smith.

Mitch was preceded in death by both his parents and his sisters, Peggy Lamberg, Kelly Elliott and Karla Wolford.

The family will receive friends Monday August 15 at 5:00 p.m. at Heartland Church with a memorial service and military honors at 6:00 p.m. Pastor William Salsbery will preside.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Young-Nichols Funeral Home 216 W. Jefferson Street Tipton, Indiana, 46072 to assist with funeral expenses.
